The Best Real Estate in a Fairfax County Virginia Snow Storm
The kids had a week off of school. Crazy. That’s what happens when almost 3 feet of snow get dumped on the Northern Virginia and DC Metro area. Schools, particularly Fairfax County and Loudoun County in Northern Virginia, didn’t know what to do. Not fair to leave kids out in the cold, the mess, or where would they stand when bus stops didn’t exist? And many roads went from 2 lane roads to 1 or 1 and a half lane roads. It was a super tough situation. They probably made the right decision having the Northern Virginia children of school age NOT in school for over a week.
That said, what would these kids do during all that time? Driving through The Town of Vienna, in Northern Virginia it was obvious what one family did. And I wouldn’t be surprised if some friends were recruited. On the front lawn of this home I drove by was a full blown igloo. It had a door, and could probably have a normal sized human being stand up inside of it. See this picture of this magnificent seasonal piece of Northern Virginia Real Estate.
We could take this a step further and wonder how much it would sell for. However, I think it’s limited shelf life would limit the upside in it’s monetary value. Either way I think it’s almost a once in a lifetime find for local Real Estate. And in terms of cool factor it’s way up there. Kudos to this family that made something Real Estate related in their time off of school. I’d like to think that one of their kids will be an architect!
