Tysons Corner Mall and Metro

The Tysons Corner are is abuzz with energy. Lots of that is due to the great infrastructure improvements with the 4 new metro stations and also the new access points with the 495 Express Lanes. Metro most of all has a high level of anticipation as it is slated to open and begin operation in just a few short months.

Much has occurred behind the scenes in terms of plans for the Tysons Corner area, and future development. One of the projects to get under way right away is 3 buildings being built where La Madeline and Circuit City used to be on the property of the Tysons Corner Mall area. Macerich is the owner of the mall. These 3 buildings that are the newest in Tysons Corner, are = [1] an office building, [2] a Hyatt Hotel + [3] an apartment building. All 3 will share the benefit of a common pavilion area. They will be primely located in close proximity, right next door to, the mall and the metro.
Intelsat is going to be a main tenant for this new office building officially named the Tysons Tower. The building is slated for “substantial completion” in April, and Intelsat should be able to occupy it’s space come June.

These new buildings are super exciting. And it’s hard to believe that they are just the first of many.
