Tysons Corner Walmart Opens

Today, August 14th 2013, Walmart opened in Tysons Corner.  It is nestled, if you can say that of a megastore, in the Tysons West development near the Spring Hill Metro station on the Dulles Metro’s Silver Line.  A great location, as if there were many that weren’t in Tysons Corner.  It’s impressive that Walmart’s jumped in to Tysons Corner in the relatively early phase of the growth and evolution that it has and will go through.

Many residents of Northern Virginia neighborhoods and showed up all day long to take a look at the Tysons Corner Walmart and all it has to offer.  Specifically the two local Tysons Corner communities right behind the Sheraton, next to the new Tysons Corner Walmart, Tysons Village (Tysons Corner Townhomes) and Westwood Village (Tysons Corner Condos) will benefit from an easy 1 block or less walk to this store.

The new Tysons Corner Walmart has grocery, meat, electronics, sporting goods, clothing, school supplies, redbox, keys copied, low prices (they advertise price match guarantee) and much more.

Also in the same building will be a Noodles and Company Restaurant, a 24 Hour Fitness Gym, and other stores and restaurants.  All of which, like the Walmart, will be brand new to Tysons Corner – because that development and building are brand new.  The 24 Hour Fitness gym will have an indoor pool, free weights, dumbells, circuit training, cardio machines, group exercise classes, a basketball court, and more.  It is said to open before the end of this month.  Today in front of the building, capitalizing off of the energy of the Walmart’s grand opening in Tysons Corner, the 24 Hour fitness membership staff was handing out promotional materials and 3 day guest passes.  The Noodles and Company seems like it will take a little more time to be ready for it’s first paying customers, but it is a welcome addition to the Tysons West development and the Tysons Corner area.
