World Cup soccer at Mosaic District

World Cup Soccer at Mosaic District

The Mosaic District is definitely a trendy place to be.  This great development had a lot of attractive shops and restaurants, as well as the Angelica Theater.

Something that makes the area even more desirable is t has become a fun place to just be.  And when I say be I mean many things.  Be can mean to walk or sit or run or talk.  And other fun ways to be are playing in the fountain.  However the coolest way to be for the purpose of this blog is to relax on the grass and watch the World Cup soccer game USA vs. Ghana on the massive TV/screen on the side of th Angelic theater building.

That us just super cool.

I had popped into Target with my son and when checking out heard a roar of excitement.  Looking out the window we could see the crowd on the lawn and also the scene of USA soccer layers celebrating a goal in the beginning minute of their opening World Cup 2014 game.  One word – Awesome!

So if you’re driving on Gallows Road, don’t be surprised if you hear people chanting “Go USA!” Or they could be chanting the name of some other country’s soccer team. Don’t think it’s a flash mob. Simply know that people are utilizing one of the many ways to be, at the Mosaic District.

The Mosaic District is smart in it’s connecting with exciting cultural and world events like the Olympics and the 2014 World Cup. Local Northern Virginians who live close by can take full advantage of walking over, and the being at the Mosaic District.
